| Latest News 2-22-2006 In tuning my SL board for training, I found the reason why my second run at Steamboat was not as fast. It turns out I had broken the core of the board in the first qualifying run. Luckly, Donek is now working on a new core design for me and is producing a new board. Unfortunatley, it doesn't look like it'll be done in time for the Ontario races which means that I'll have to miss them. 1-30-2006 After not feeling well for the PGS in Steamboat, I raced in the PSL the next day. After a great 1st run, my 2nd run was sketchy and not as fast. I ended the day 17th overall. 11-22-2005 After loading the lifts at Copper Mtn at 6am both days, I was able to post respectable finishes at both of the first 2 events of the NorAm Cup Season. First, the rule changes. With the qualifying process changed for 2005/2006, each rider only gets one run to qualify for the 2nd round. That being said, each rider can only really be compared to the riders on his/her course the red and blue courses are similar but different. So, after the first run, only the top 20 from each course move on to take a 2nd run on the other course. In my first runs each day I qualified 20th just out of the 2nd run. Overall for points purposes, I finished 38th on Monday with a clean but tenative run and 42nd on Tuesday after having a fall on the flat section of the course. Next stop, Okemo, VT on December 20 and 21. 11-18-2005 For those of you in the Denver area who would like to come see me race. My first events are Monday and Tuesday 11-21 and 11-22 at Copper Mountain. Start time is 7am each day. The events will take place on Ptarmagan at the top fo the mountain. They look great thanks to the artwork provided by Glen Hanson. I'll have pics and reviews of the boards up later this weekend. 11-11-2005 11-5-2005 Training has started. I'll be at Copper Mountain training on Saturday and Sundays. Look for me and say hello if you're on the mountain. 10-2005 I was just contacted and asked to speak at the American Psychiatric Association's annual convention in Toronto in May of 2006. I must say it's an honor, but I guess it's verified now that I'm a head case :)
